After several decades of stigma and criminalization, the image of cannabis is finally being reconsidered. Myths and prejudices are now giving way to the recognition of this ancient plant’s incredible medicinal properties. Indeed, if we had to make a full list of the positive effects marijuana has on one’s mental and physical health, that would be a huge one.

Okay, it all started here. Rick Simpson invented hemp oil medicine which supposedly cured his own cancer. Because of routine cancer treatments, Rick had become a “zombie”. When he discovered how well the oil worked, he decided to present his cure to the Canadian authorities, where they attempted to prosecute him. However, he is still considered a hero.
