7 Success Lessons I Learned Working In The Custom Writing Industry

When I finally got my Master’s degree in social psychology, everyone expected me to start working in a governmental or nonprofit institution straight away. Instead, I decided to spend some time working for a custom writing company. Everyone I knew questioned my decision, but I had a simple explanation: this job combined my three great passions: sociology, psychology, and writing. Since I wasn’t ready for a serious office job, this was the perfect activity to help me made a transition.

After three years spent as a full-time author in the custom writing industry (Essaymama and Ninjaessays were my employers at that time), I’m ready to share the success lessons that turned me into a skillful, more professional social worker.

1. Everyone needs help. If you can offer it, don’t question the customer’s motives.

When I first started writing essays, research papers, and even MA theses for students, I was a bit arrogant about it. “Why don’t these kids do their own work? How lazy are they?” As it turned out, most of them were not lazy at all. I got the chance to collaborate with really talented young people who simply needed a push to complete a brilliant paper.

It doesn’t matter what industry you work in. When you offer your services or products to people who need them, you should never question their motives. If you can help them find a solution, offer your assistance as sincerely as possible. That was the first lesson I learned as an author for an essay writing service.

2. Writing is necessary for every profession.

Throughout my career in custom writing services, I collaborated not only with students, but also with people in different professions. You would be surprised to realize that many businessmen have trouble writing their reports, and workers in all industries need help completing papers and presentations.

Here is my advice to you: when you have a chance to boost your writing skills, take it without any hesitation. All school projects are meant to make you a better researcher and writer. When you are able to express your opinions in the most authoritative manner, even the emails you write will add to the reputation you maintain in any profession. College and university assignments are not about grades – they are all about self-development.

3. It takes a lot of research to come down to the simplest conclusion.

Let’s take the gun control issue as an example: you have two sides arguing the problem, but their opinions are just as similar as they are diverse. You can have an opinion about the issue, but you cannot impress anyone in a conversation if you cannot support your statements with facts. Every opinion you form has to be based on in-depth research. Otherwise, your arguments will float in the air without a solid base.

When the customers asked for an impressive essay, the first thing I did was research. I was already familiar with the topics I worked on, but that never made me too confident. When you support every claim with facts, statistics, and findings from researchers, you will immediately gain authority in the eyes of the listeners.

4. Always focus on the most important things!

Talking too much doesn’t make us look impressive: it makes us boring. The same thing goes for writing: you need a narrow thesis statement that you’ll support with more detailed arguments. Every single word and sentence has to be related to the main point. Otherwise, the paper will lose its focus and the reader will be distracted.

Due to the fact that I always made sure to preserve the main point when I was writing papers, I can safely say that this skill made me a more focused thinker and speaker. My work for an essay writing service taught me to say a lot of things with few words.

5. The essay writing form is pretty usable in real life.

The expression pattern for an essay is rather simple: you expose a thesis statement, you choose convincing details that support it, and you sum up with a conclusion that summarizes everything you just wrote. That form works well for speeches, presentations, and simple conversations (as long as you don’t talk too much).

When you need to convince your boss to accept a particular idea, you explain how that idea will contribute towards the organization’s mission. That’s your thesis statement. Then, you support that idea with facts and arguments, and you wrap things up with a convincing conclusion. It never fails!

6. Listen to instructions!

When I was a newbie in the writing industry, I was really confident in the knowledge I had. Sometimes I simply ignored parts of the instructions, because I thought I could write a much better paper by introducing new, more creative ideas. The service immediately returned these papers and I was asked to customize them according to the strict instructions.

When someone provides precise instructions, you need to follow them to the tiniest details. If you think you can do something better, always consult the boss/customer before proceeding further.

7. Uniqueness is the key to success.

I always made sure to conduct a thorough research of the topic before I started covering the writing stages. However, the purpose of that research was far from copying someone else’s work. The key to a successful essay, research paper, presentation, or any other type of content is uniqueness.

When you use strong facts and arguments, show how they support your own ideas and opinions. That’s the only way to get noticed.

In conclusion, I learned valuable lessons throughout my journey in the custom-writing industry. This was an important experience that helped me become a more knowledgeable person with decent communication skills.
