AFC Champions League 2019: Al Ahli 2-1 Persepolis

To the 20-19 AFC Champions League, where in Group D, Iran’s Persepolis have suffered a 2-1 defeat against Saudi Club Al-Ahli in Dubai. 

Al-Ahli opened the scoring when Omar Al Somah converted a penalty kick in the 30th minute. 

Al Somah doubled the lead for Al-Ahli with a brilliant free-kick, 7 minutes from time. 

Persepolis scored a consolation in the dying moment of the match, after Shoja Khalilzadeh lashed the ball home with a powerful header. With the loss, Persepolis stand at the bottom of the table and must win the remaining 2 matches to revive their hopes of progressing to the next round.
