Media, police and politicians disparage communities protecting themselves as “vigilantism”

Following calls by politicians, media and the police for Brits not to buy baseball bats and engage in what was disparagingly termed “vigilantism,” Amazon UK has followed suit by banning self-defense items from its online store, after sales of makeshift weapons soared through the roof as a result of riots plaguing the country.
In the immediate aftermath of widespread looting and rioting which was directed primarily against private homes and local family businesses, Brits left defenseless by a blanket gun ban that makes it virtually impossible to own a private firearm rushed to Amazon to purchase whatever could be used as a weapon to protect their families and property from attack.
The need for self-defense was exacerbated after police in London were ordered to stand down and let the rioting take place for the first three nights of chaos as a result of a Scotland Yard directive.
Sales of aluminum truncheons and baseball bats skyrocketed, with some items achieving sales 50,000 per cent above normal.
However, despite the fact that communities organizing themselves into groups to protect their streets, undermined by being labeled “vigilantes” by the media, did indeed serve to quell the worst of the rioting, politicians like Stella Creasy, MP for Walthamstow which was hit by riots on Monday night, lambasted members of the public for purchasing weapons to defend themselves.
“This crosses the line when it involves weapons,” said Creasy. “That just encourages the sense of fear – we want to reduce tension and fear in the area. People with baseball bats roaming the streets is not helpful: don’t go on Amazon buying them.”
Following suit, Amazon UK today banned the sale of perfectly legal items, including self-defense sprays and Kubotans, short lengths of plastic or steel.
“Amazon has removed several police-style telescopic truncheons from sale on its site as soaring sales of truncheons, baseball bats and other items that could be used as weapons sparked fears of vigilantism in the wake of widespread rioting,” reports the Guardian.

Amazon users were divided about the decision, but many applauded the move despite the fact that police completely failed to protect countless businesses from being burned to the ground and did little to stop violence which led to people being killed.
“Even if they are being bought by respectable home and business owners, they should be banned from sale temporarily,” said V Woolf. “Vigilantism is not the answer. Get these items off the shelves, we are all scared and angry in London and need to know that measures are being taken to help us to feel safe in our cities again.”
But there’s a difference between ‘feeling safe’ and actually being safe in your own home. No amount of government legislation or police deterrence can provide true safety and security, that responsibility rests with the individual. This has been proven in triplicate over the past few nights. As soon as communities started banding together and patrolling their streets, the riots withered and last night there was virtually no trouble at all.
However, the media quickly disparaged people getting together with their neighbors to protect their communities as “vigilantism”. The Metropolitan Police, whose order to its officers to stand down on the first three nights of rioting directly led to the escalation of the chaos, also warned residents not to patrol their communities.
Just like gun control, banning baseball bats only disarms the public and creates victims. Criminals will always be able to acquire weapons of any description because they do not obey laws. Leaving Brits defenseless will only embolden the rioting hordes.
If the UK riots have proven nothing else, they’ve proven that the authorities cannot and will not protect you. It always comes down to the responsibility of the individual and the community to protect their own families, businesses and private property.

The police admitted mistakes were made on the first night. Second night – riot police on the streets arresting people. Third night – MORE riot police needed. Fourth night – Fewer incidents, still a strong show of force.
If police were told to stand down, why were there 16,000 police out on the streets?

I had to defend myself from two street punks venting out their PCP rage and used a baseball bat to even up the odds. I was 26yrs old, 6’2 210lbs and in good fighting shape. I found out later by cops that one had just been paroled two weeks earlier and had two murders to his name.

They cause this negative doctrine to be taught in our schools so that part of what Khrushchev said will come to pass – he said, speaking for the Communist world to the United States, “we will bury you”. Patriots, Constitutionalists, Militias, Vigilantes – these are some words that have been selected to shame Americans into Communism because if you support any of these groups, you are ostracized and ridiculed by the media, politicians, Hollywood, and by your ignorant peers as enemies without sound minds. These groups come into being at all times when justice is turned into injustice and when free choice is turned into “for the greater good” (theft).
Vigilante organizations are right and proper when they are protecting individual freedom of choice in all things. Constitutionalists, Patriots, and Militias are also vigilantes in that sense.
Please do not allow anyone to cause you to believe their negative definitions of words. Look the words up and how they are used in older documents. And never let the principle of justice be replaced by anything else.

Wake them up? Keep in mind the British were the peasants who lacked the courage to escape tyranny while America is declaring it’s independence. Even to this day they gawk and bow their head to the royal family. Brits love their servitude and role in society as little weak people. It’s simply in their DNA.

Cut the factionalization, please. The freedom that Americans got was earned by patriots fighting for the rights of their posterity. There are but truly two types of governance in this world, rule by few, or rule by each individual. The people who escaped England in the early colonial period were trying to find a ‘new world’ in the sense that it would be a new world in which they would be responsible for their own livelihood and not subject to any king. We have all been duped by the powers that be, for the iron fist of the monarchical powers did not subside when Americans declared themselves to be independent. It came back, quietly, as the snake on his belly, and corrupted our culture so slowly and without notice that our children woke up within the very same slavery that our Forefathers had fought and died for.
Nobody is GIVEN freedom. Us Americans had freedom for a while, the French had freedom… for just a while, if you forget all of ‘the terror’ that the Aristocracy faced in the revolutionary period from around 1776 to 1848. Stop trying to pin blame everywhere and see that we are being completely destroyed by the aristocratic powers that be, and that by creating faux divisions you play right into their hand of hatred of malice.

Show the average person 100 random pictures with half being natural born American’s and the other half British citizens (regardless of race). The majority of people could probably pick out the British with a bare minimum of 90% accuracy. Those with an above average eye could probably hit 96% or higher.
Brits have a very distinct genetically watered down appearance. Even those who don’t have disproportionately big heads, diminutive bodies and the overall health appearance of a heroin addict, tend to have a sickly pale skin hue. I attributed it to the fact they are a nation of effeminate wimps socially castrated at an early age and encouraged to embrace their feminine side, but maybe the root cause is a DNA one. I know in Israel inbreeding is so widespread that engaged couples must submit to blood tests before they can legally marry.
