Baeedinejad: Sanctions lifting train in last station

Tehran, Jan 14, IRNA – The train of lifting anti-Iran sanctions has arrived at its last station after recent talks in Geneva about latest issues related to the removing of sanctions against Iran, senior Foreign Minsitry official said.

Foreign Ministry’s Director General for Political and Security Affairs Hamid Baeedinejad said on his Instagram that negotiations with the officials from US and the European Union (EU) which have started since Wednesday led the issue of lifting the sanctions to its final phase.

He hoped that the last remaining issues about Iran’s nuclear case would be finalized on Thursday during the talks between Iran and the world six world powers- the US, UK, France, Russia, Chin and Germany, in a way that the two sides can be prepared to announce the day of implementation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).

After that, the two sides will get ready to announce day of implementation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).

According to the July 14 nuclear agreement between Iran and the P5+1, limits will be put on Iran’s nuclear activities in exchange for, among other things, the removal of all nuclear-related economic and financial sanctions against the country.

In a recent report to the International Atomic Energy Agency’s Board of Governors, the UN nuclear watchdog Chief Yukiya Amano stressed that Iran continues nuclear activities under the supervision of the IAEA.
