There has been a question in the minds of those on the right on whether or not our elected representatives will stop the dictator, Barack Hussein Obama from appointing a liberal or Muslim replacement for Justice Antonin Scalia.
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell just made a major announcement on the subject and Hussein will HATE it!
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) said Tuesday that his party won’t permit a vote on any Supreme Court nominee submitted by President Barack Obama and will instead “revisit the matter” after the presidential election in November, Chris Enloe at TheBlaze reports.
The Kentucky Republican acknowledged that Obama is within his rights to nominate a replacement for the late Justice Antonin Scalia but said Republicans controlling the Senate would exercise their rights.
“Presidents have a right to nominate just as the Senate has its constitutional right to provide or withhold consent,” McConnell said in a speech on the Senate floor. “In this case, the Senate will withhold it.”
McConnell quoted what, then Senator Joe Biden himself said, “It is my view that if the president goes the way of Fillmore and Johnson, and presses an election-year nomination, the Senate Judiciary Committee should seriously consider not scheduling confirmation hearings on the nomination until after the political campaign season is over.”
Biden added that a lame duck president making the pick would be unfair.
“It would be our pragmatic conclusion that once the political season is underway, and it is, action on a Supreme Court nomination must be put off until after the election campaign is over. That is what is fair to the nominee and essential to the process. Otherwise, it seems to me Mr. President, we will be in deep trouble as an institution.”
In response, Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) accused McConnell of taking his cues from Republican presidential candidates Donald Trump and Texas Sen. Ted Cruz. On the day of Scalia’s death, Trump told a debate audience that the Senate should “delay, delay, delay.”
There’s another liberal maniac I can’t wait to be out of the picture- Harry Reid. What a pile of crap he is.
Let’s hope McConnell and the rest of the GOP stand strong and fight Obama and his liberal band of community organizers.
The last thing we need is an Obama appointed Justice.
