Commander: Presence in Atlas Ocean on navy’s agenda

Anzali, June 18, IRNA – Commander of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Navy announced that the presence of the country’s warships in the high seas, specially Atlas Ocean, is on the Navy’s agenda.

“The presence in the Atlas Ocean on the basis of the international laws and regulations is on this year’s agenda of the navy,” Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari told reporters here on Saturday.

“In view of the present of Iranian warships in the Gulf of Aden, the needed security for vessels that are supported by Iran is prevalent,” he added.

He said that efforts are underway for the progress in the field of sciences and equipment for the navy in line with powerful presence in the sea and undersea which is highly important.

Rear Admiral Sayyari, meantime, underlined Iran’s preparedness to win in the soft war against the enemy.

“As we have won in the military warfare against the enemy, we will also be triumphant in the soft war,” Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari said.

He reiterated that the security conditions of Iran is in such a manner that no country dares to attack the country.
