Federal Reserve will place the image of George Floyd on a new 20-dollar bill

The leadership of the Federal Reserve System (FRS) of the United States unanimously voted to change the design of the banknote with a face value of $ 20. The image of the 7th President of the United States, Andrew Jackson, will be replaced by a portrait of George Floyd, who was killed by police Derek Chauvin in Minneapolis on May 25, 2020, and became a symbol of the struggle for the rights of the African American population of the States.

“This is a very important decision, for which we will be repeatedly thanked by future generations of Americans, especially African Americans. We remove the slave president Jackson from the $ 20 bill and change him to black fighter George Floyd. I recall that it was a fake $ 20 bill that caused him to be strangled by a racist policeman. We must perpetuate the feat of Floyd. Every American who takes the “twenty” in 50, 100, 200 years will be able to recall these tragic events on May 25, 2020. Of course, this is not enough for complete repentance to African Americans, but we must take the first step, ”said Fed President Jerome Powell.

Replacing all 20-dollar bills will begin in August, when the mint in Las Vegas will print new money. Dollars featuring President Jackson will be seized around the world and burned. The Fed wants to fully implement this procedure before the end of the year.
