Grandpa Lampshade returns for another installment of Grandpa Lampshade’s Thoughts of the Day.
We start off with a programming note that you will be getting a double shot of the Lampshade this week, as Grandpa will be interviewed by Andrew Carrington Hitchcock for his show which airs on Wednesday. Double the lampshades and soap and double the fun.
Our first topic covered is a Twitter hashtag that was blowing up on Saturday. #Whiteprivilegeis was supposed to be an opportunity for White leftists to posture and signal their virtue at being against the interests of their own people and of course, also for Blacks to complain as they always do about their victim status. However, Twitter Nazis rolled into the hashtag like a panzer division into Poland and spoiled the party, leaving piles of feelz and butthurt in their wake.
Although the back and forth was 99% leftist whining, Grandpa managed to have a decent discussion with one person and the topic of our ideals came up. Is it necessary to surrender our ideals in order to accomplish our goals? Of course not, but it is essential that we do not misplace them. It is foolish and really rather “racist” to expect other races to act like Whites. It is not going to happen and the disaster that is the current state of forced multiculturalism is proof of this. In the midst of this disaster though, you have fools who want to complain about the results of multiculturalism yet embrace it at the same time, by proclaiming that the races must all come together as Americans. Of course what these people actually mean is that the other races need to start acting like White people, which just isn’t going to happen.
We move on to discuss the Dallas Police shootings at a BLM march there. Though this topic has been discussed at length by many already, Grandpa gives us a perspective from the local level. We look at the predictable (((media))) coverage of this event as a lone bad apple and the sympathetic slant they give to BLM, before contrasting it with the coverage given to our side recently in Sacramento. Grandpa points out that these Black groups have been calling for violence against the police for quite some time now, yet while our accounts are banned for tweeting Le Happy Merchant and Tyrone memes that don’t hurt anything but some feelz, these folks get a pass for openly advocating violence.
As always, we wrap up with the listener comments/questions section which is now such an important part of Thoughts of the Day. Our first deals with trolling on Twitter from a newb point of view and GPL offers some (hopefully) helpful tips for those just getting started on the Twitter troll. You will be surprised at how much fun it can be. Our second question/comment is in regards to last week’s show on the topic of infighting and where do we draw the line at what is productive and what is not.
