Internet Freedom? How Government Attempts to Subvert Freedom of Speech and Freedom of Press

While sharp looking liars in suits transmit the state approved “news’’ readily packaged for public consumption, the American people are waking up to the televised lies and deception of the mainstream media. Recent attacks on the U.S. Constitution and thus on the people, have shaken many more minds out of the hypnotic trance perpetuated by the mainstream propaganda machine which falls apart when analyzed with the facts omitted from their scripts.

Attacks on the freedom of speech and freedom of the press have never been as vicious as they have been in recent years. In 2013, Senator Feinstein took the lead in an attempt to ban citizen’s journalism by attempting to redefine the U.S. Constitution. In judicial hearings, Senator Feinstein made an attempt to redefine the freedom of speech and freedom of press, claiming that if a person is not an employee of a state-approved media entity, he isn’t qualified to be a journalist (and his rights are not protected.) While attempting to define what a reporter is, Senator Feinstein brought an example of a 17 year old high school dropout starting a $5 blog vs. “real” reporters with “bonafide credentials” and professional qualifications.

Further in her speech, while referring to the Shield Bill, Senator Feinsten expressed gratitude for the cooperation between the media coalition and the senators who, together, made sure that the bill will not give a protection to those who are not qualified to be “journalists” by the official standards. A legitimate journalist, she explained, is someone who is affiliated with “established” media entities, a list of which she further provides! “We included a very broad list of media entities to which journalists can be affiliated“, said senator Feinstein.

So first Senator Feinstein presumed to define what a legitimate journalist means — a person who works for an “established” media entity — and then she provided us with the list of who the established media entities are! That’s mean that if you are working for one of those designated state approved and regulated mainstream media outlets, you are considered to be real journalist and you can enjoy the protection of the journalist’s Shield Bill. If you not, you are simply viewed as an amateur blogger who is no longer protected by the Constitutional right to free speech and free press — only because Senator Feinstein has said so.

Do we need a constitutional lawyer to explain us that this is a serious violation of the First Amendment right to the freedom of speech and freedom of the press? Senator Feinsten’s amendment will limit both freedoms to the size of a gag order, legalizing an unlawful amendment.

It is also worth considering: Why did Senator Feinstein portray a 17 year old high school dropout as the archetype of the alternative voice? There are plenty of mature, educated and intelligent people representing alternative media whose real content attracts many readers. Besides, a 17 years old high school dropout who is sincerely trying to wake people up by exposing the corruption of government is far more credible and valid than any “real” state-approved journalists with “bonafide credentials”. There are also many alternative news websites which bring truthful, uncensored information to the public, something which the corporate media simply does not. These internet channels, of course, are not included in the senator’s “list’’.

The uncensored content covered by the alternative media will never be approved by the government. This is why millions of listeners and readers worldwide are tuning in, while the mainstream media is struggling to retain its viewers.

Dianne Feinstein: Only “real journalists” should have rights.

Let’s look at the facts.

It is scary to imagine what would happened if we didn’t have the internet, and we would have to rely solely on the mainstream media to supply us with news. How much would we know and what would we think if our opinion was based exclusively on the paid content brought to us by the mainstream propaganda machine, which is nothing more than a factory of lies?

Should we rather trust the BBC reporters who reported the collapse of the building 7 during the 9/11 attack, a third skyscraper which had not been hit by an airplane, 20 minutes before it had actually collapsed? Was this reporter a clairvoyant psychic in addition to being a journalist with “bonafide credentials”?

BBC News reports WTC7 had fallen… 20 minutes before it happens!

No wonder the intent to release 28 pages of the 9/11 report that were hidden from the public, is met with such a great resistance. It might simply mean a checkmate to the architects of evil who maintain the false notion that a release of secret pages means a threat to national security. But can anyone explain how a release of this vital intelligence could be a threat to the national security when the nation is still under the threat of new attacks due to the simple fact that those who were responsible are still not brought to justice? How would you feel if there would be a murder in your neighborhood committed by someone known to the local police department but the investigation would be halted and the guy is still on the streets? Would you feel more threatened by the fact that the killer is free and can commit more crimes or by the release of the crucial information about him which could lead to his arrest? Perhaps a release of these documents means a threat to those who are a threat to a national security?

But common sense, of course, has been long replaced with the common lie

Or should we trust the CNN reporters who have been caught staging fake news segments?

If only those “legitimate” journalists would be allowed to report on events, most likely America would not find itself in illegal wars in Syria and Iraq, escalating regional conflicts toward a larger war and possible nuclear exchanges with Russia and China — which will mean the end of life on Earth, no matter who strikes first. It didn’t happen so far, largely because the alternative media were able to help to inform and reshape the public opinion of war from the programming of the mainstream media. This is exactly why the powers-that-be are trying to pass different internet bills, which all are designed to control it. Their goal is to regulate the content available online while holding the power to block “undesirable” websites, thus controlling the flow of information.

Letting the bureaucracy take control over the internet will only result in more of the same; deception and lies.

It is essential for the people to maintain internet freedom since all other freedoms depend on it. Shedding light on growing tyranny slows it down while the global awakening gathers momentum. All attempts to limit our freedom should be rejected and our constitutional rights, which in fact are our birthrights written on paper, should be exercised like a muscle, since both become atrophied otherwise.

It is very important to support the alternative/independent media for this is the only way for people to know the truth, just as it is crucial to support an alternative medicine, for it is the only way for the people to be healthy. “Alternative” doesn’t mean lesser value; it simply means another choice, which is being increasingly suppressed by those who wants to control the narrative and therefore, public thinking.

Mainstream media is a digital sewer pipe down which intellectual excrement is being constantly flushed down into your brain. Switch off your TV and switch on your mind. Ignorance is a choice in the era of information. Choose truth. Your freedom depends on it.
