Iran condemns terrorist attack in Almaty

Tehran, July 19, IRNA – Spokesman for the Foreign Ministry expressed Iran’s strong disapproval of inhuman actions and terrorist attacks including that happened in the Kazakh largest city Almaty on Monday.

Speaking to reporters, Bahram Qasemi expressed concern over aggressive actions in Kazakhstan.

Gunmen attacked a police station in Almaty on Monday. Local sources announced that four police forces have been killed.

The officials in that country said the city in under strict security conditions.

The spokesman also said increase of terrorist operations in neighboring countries is alarming.

He then stressed that all regional countries should fight against terrorism through joint efforts.

Terrorist acts, aggression and violation are not acceptable, no matter where and when they take place, he noted.
