Iran oil exports at 2.6mbd in calendar year 1396

SHANA – Iran’s petroleum exports reached 2.6 million barrels per day on average to Asian an European destinations in the current Iranian calendar year of 1396 which began on March 21.

The country exported 2.115 mbd of crude oil and 428,000 b/d of gas condensate during the year.

Asian buyers purchased 60% of Iran’s crude exports while Europeans bought 40% of the shipments.

China, India, South Korea and Japan were Iran’s biggest oil customers in Asia.

Moreover, the British-Dutch Shell, the French Total, Italy’s Eni and Saras, Hellenic Petroleum from Greece, Spain’s Repsol, and Hungary’s MOL were some of Iran’s customers from Europe.

For the time being, 40 refiners from across the globe run on Iran’s crude oil and gas condensate which is mostly processed in Asian refineries. South Korea is the largest consumer of Iranian gas condensate.
