Iran to unveil herbal medicine for treating Alzheimer’s

The researchers used ancient and indigenous knowledge of the Iranian land in treatment of brain problems and conducted extensive research on the latest studies in the world on this subject to produce, for the very first time, a valuable herbal medicine that helps with treatment of Alzheimer’s disease.

For studies on the production of this medicine, a series of experiments were conducted on 42 patients with mild to moderate Alzheimer’s in the age range of 65-80. The patients in the experiment group were given dracocephalum extract and the control group was given placebos.

After four months of studies, the result showed significantly that the mild to moderate Alzheimer’s was well controlled in those patients who used dracocephalum extract and the anxiety disorder and irritability symptoms were considerably reduced in the experiment group.

‘Melitropic’ can be introduced to global markets and after its unveiling, certain measures have been taken into consideration for this purpose.

The herbal medicine will be unveiled on Tuesday, 24 January, in the presence of Minister of Health, Head of Iranian Academic Center for Education, Culture and Research, as well as number of researchers.
