Iran withdraws lawsuit against Russia over S-300 delivery

Iran has withdrawn its lawsuit against Russia on the delivery of S-300 air defense systems, and the issue is fully resolved, the deputy head of Russia’s Rostec corporation said Friday.

SOCHI (Sputnik) — Russia and Iran initially signed an S-300 delivery deal in 2007, but its implementation was halted by Moscow due to UN Security Council sanctions against Tehran. In response, the Islamic Republic filed a lawsuit against Russia for failing to deliver the air defense systems.

“This issue is closed, the lawsuit has been withdrawn,” Nikolay Volobuev told RIA Novosti.

“I know that this matter has been settled and we have agreed that we will deliver everything,” he added.
