Israeli airstrike kills 2 Palestinians

Adham Abu Selmiya, a spokesman for the Hamas emergency services in Gaza, said the Palestinians were killed in an Israeli airstrike targeting a group of people east of Beit Hanoun on Monday.

An Israeli military official also confirmed the “targeted attack” against the two victims.

Witnesses identified the two Palestinians as Mohamed Shabat and Ismail Odeh.

The latest airstrike on Gaza was carried out several hours after Israeli warplanes attacked an area in the town of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip.

Also on Monday, two other Palestinians and an Israeli construction worker were killed in an exchange of fire in an area to the south of Gaza near the Egyptian border.

The Tel Aviv regime claimed that Israeli troops opened fire after three Palestinians attacked a convoy of vehicles transporting Israeli construction workers.

Israel conducts attacks against the Gaza Strip on an almost regular basis.

The Tel Aviv regime also denies about 1.7 million people in Gaza their basic rights, including the freedom of movement and the right to decent living, work, health and education.
