Israeli forces wound 53 Palestinian protesters

Israeli occupation forces shot, wounded 53 Palestinians during protests, against US recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital, in West Bank and Gaza Strip.

Palestinian Red Crescent (PRC) sources said that its paramedics treated 44 Palestinians wounded with live ammunition or steel-coated-with rubber bullets in West Bank and Jerusalem.

The PRC said that two of the wounded sustained critical injuries –one in the chest and one in the head. In addition, it said that three others suffered moderate wounds.

Meanwhile, Spokesman of the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza Ashraf al-Qidra said that the Israeli occupation shot and wounded nine Palestinian protesters, including three in northern Gaza, three in Central Gaza and three in the south of Gaza Strip.

All of the wounded, Al-Qidra said, suffered light wounds. In addition, he said that at least 50 others received field treatment after inhalation tear gas.
