Israeli forces wounded 29 protesters during Friday protests

Israeli occupation forces shot and wounded 29 Palestinians during Friday protests in occupied West Bank and Gaza Strip, Palestinian paramedics said.

Spokesman of the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza Ashraf al-Qidra said that the Israeli occupation forces wounded 16 Palestinian protesters along the borders of the Gaza Strip.

“Fives of the protesters suffered serious wounds,” Al-Qidra said, “and tens received field treatment for breathing problems due to the heavy use gas canisters.”

Meanwhile, in the occupied West Bank, the Palestinian Red Crescent (PRC) reported 13 Palestinians wounded at illegal Israeli checkpoints.

It is worth noting that the UN has accused the Israeli occupation forces of using lethal forces against the unarmed Palestinian protesters.

Since December 6, 2017, Palestinians in across the occupied territories have been staging weekly protests against the US President Donald Trump’s recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s state.
