Israeli police fire tear gas at Palestinian primary school

Days of Palestine, West Bank -Israeli occupation police fired on Monday morning tens of tear gas canisters at Palestinian primary schools, witnesses said.

According to the witnesses, tens of little Palestinian students suffered inhalation problems when the Israeli occupation police showered Al-Zahraa Primary School with tear gas canisters.

Palestinian sources said that the school is located in Tariq Bin Ziyad Neighbourhood in the occupied West Bank city of Al-Khalil.

Medical sources said that the Israeli occupation police attempted to prevent them from arriving in the school to offer medical assistance.

“But after a while, they allowed us,” one of the Palestinian Red Crescent paramedics told Days of Palestine. “We offered first aid to at least 25 students of the ages between six and 12 years old.”

He also said that the school was completely evacuated and three cases needed to be admitted to hospital. He said that these cases were discharged about one hour later.
