Israeli soldiers injured in West Bank

Four Israeli soldiers have been wounded after a car driven by a Palestinian hit a border checkpoint in the occupied West Bank.

The incident took place near the town of Beit Ummar in the Gush Etzion settlement during the late hours of Saturday.

Reports say the vehicle stopped when “a border police officer shot at the vehicle’s wheels.”

The four soldiers were taken to a hospital in al-Quds (Jerusalem) for treatment.

The driver, who is in custody, said that the incident was an accident and that he had no intention to hit the soldiers.
