Kerry’s comments on Iran indicate US fear: Analyst

Press TV has conducted an interview with Scott Bennett, a former US army psychological warfare officer from San Francisco, about remarks made by US Secretary of State John Kerry, who praised Iran’s role in the fight against the Daesh Takfiri group.

The following is a rough transcription of the interview.

Press TV: What do you make of this acknowledgement by John Kerry?

Bennett: Well, there have been two major events that have happened in history that have changed the world. One was the 9/11 and the second was last week, when the Brexit rule and the Brexit vote occurred. That plate tectonic shift in the geopolitical future of Europe has shattered the Obama administration, State Department and military policy in the Middle East, with the United Kingdom pulling out of the EU and the subsequent disintegration of the EU, which is impending and more nation-states realizing that it was a failed policy.

They are beginning to re-evaluate their entire foreign policy agenda. The reasons for the EU splitting a part of course were the refugee migrant hordes that were released through the US disintegration campaign in the Middle East. And all of the countries realized that. And the US is just now beginning to sense the blame that is rising. There is quite a tsunami that’s coming against Kerry and Obama. And I think Obama is trying to back pedal out very quickly.

It’s interesting that State Department officials sent letters around saying that the State Department should engage and ask the Pentagon to engage in military activities to remove Assad, and that after the Brexit vote everything changed, and now they’re playing a new tune. Now this is good because it gives the ground that Russia and Iran can step in and say: We’re willing to solve the Daesh problem. We’re really willing to solve the refugee resettlement problem.

And it has to start with the United States and Saudi Arabia stopping the financing of the Wahhabi Salafist terrorist mercenary regimes. And I think you’re going to see a lot more European nations now beginning to break away from the EU and really have new relationships with Iran, Russia, China and Syria.

Press TV: And now back to the comments made by John Kerry; at the end of the day these comments serve as just mere platitudes due to the level of distrust against the United States, which has reneged so many times on its end of agreements and bargains.

Bennett: Well, it’s more than a platitude. I think it indicates a retreat, a backpedaling, a fear, a realization that the United States reputation is in ashes. And it breaks my heart to say that and it sickens me when I look at what john Kerry and Obama and Hillary Clinton believe in what they would want to do to this country. And the only hope is a total change of regime that embraces more of a peace and prosperity building.

Donald Trump is one of the only people who’s not for war. Hillary Clinton is all about war. So, I think yes, you do not believe a single word that comes out of john Kerry’s mouth, but you do take the words that he releases from his mouth and you use them to your benefit. And the benefit should be extending all of branches and contracts for foreign economic development, investment, closer ties for counter-terrorism operations, and closer maneuvers between the Russian, the Syrian and the Chinese military forces with the United States. And if the United States reneges, guess what, I think you’re also going to have the disintegration of NATO, because I think now they are beginning to realize what Putin said, and they are beginning to realize just what they’ve done, they’ve destroyed the world and now they’re reaping the whirlwind.
