Awake Goy Tourism industry has been recently regarded as one of the effective factors of Iran’s development. There is no doubt that this industry can affect economic development and decrease unemployment rate. As a result of that policy, tourism in Iran has experienced a 12 percent growth during last 2 years.
Aaccording to the Iran’s Sixth Development Plan, tourism is one of the highest priorities of the country’s agenda and the number of tourists is planned to experience a 5 times increase. Today, following the implementation of Iran’s nuclear deal and the subsequent lift of sanctions, the prospects for the tourism industry in Iran seems much more promising and requires more attention than ever.
For this reason, Kish Island which ranked among the world’s 10 most beautiful islands by The New York Times in 2010 and the fourth most visited vacation destination in Southwest Asia, is going to host the 9th International Tourism and Travel Exhibition on 1-4 March, 2016.
A broad range of companies, institutions, accommodation centers and tourism organizations of the country are going to be present in this event, to be held at Kish International Convention Center.
During the event scientific conferences attended by local and foreign experts will be held and will cover areas including tourism and transportation, tourism and branding, and tourism capacities of the city.
