A class action lawsuit has been filed against Joe Biden, Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin, and Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas by 24 federal employees. The plaintiffs are members from all five branches of the military, federal employees and civilian federal contractors.
The representing law firm is the Liberty Counsel, who said the plaintiffs “face a deadline under the Federal COVID-19 Vaccine Mandate to receive a COVID-19 vaccine that violates their sincerely held religious beliefs, and have been refused any religious exemption or accommodation.”
The names of the plaintiffs are left off the lawsuit for security purposes, listed only as “NAVY SEAL 1, United States Navy,” and similar. As it stands, testing instead of vaccination is not offered to these federal employees.

The lawsuit seeks a temporary restraining order against the mandate, and, ultimately, a preliminary injunction to disallow the mandates permanently.
“Plaintiffs,” the lawsuit states, “are merely seeking to rise each morning, don the same uniforms and protective equipment that sufficed to make them heroes for nearly two years, and continue to provide military defense, national security, and critical federal services to a Nation in need. Plaintiffs’ vaccination status was irrelevant for nearly two years, and it is irrelevant today.”
The lawsuit says that the State is not injured in any way by the members not receiving the vaccine. “Conversely, it said, “for Plaintiffs, even minimal infringements upon First Amendment values constitute irreparable injury.
