Mexican actor Gael Garcia Bernal said in Washington that U.S. authorities should find alternatives to building more barriers along the southern border, a measure he called an expression of “ignorance.”

“The walls will fall one day, absolutely,” he said on Tuesday evening upon accepting a Human Rights Award from the Washington Office on Latin America.

Garcia Bernal received the WOLA prize in recognition of his commitment to migrants, particularly his work on “Los Invisibles,” a quartet of short films about the experiences of immigrants from Central America and the rest of the region en route to the United States through Mexico.

I think the Mexican gov needs to step it up on their side of the border. Then again, why would they? I mean, it’s not like millions and millions of our dollars get sent to Mexico every year or anything, right? RIGHT?!? Mexicans have taken over what’s left of manufacturing jobs where I live in NC and I’m sure it’s even worse in some other places. How about this, turn the entire border into a rifle range and charge $20 a person to spend a few hours popping off a few, ’rounds’. Deficit solved. I’m sure there would be no shortage of people waiting to get a turn. To all you bleeding hearts that will say that is racist, try getting a job here where I live. If you can most of the beans will fuck with you until you quit because they want one of their 200 cousins to get a job there. I look at them rolling around in new cars, wearing lots of bling, and packing hundreds of dollars of food in there ride that they just bought with fucking food stamps. On top of that, everyone knows they bring most of the drugs into the country. So if you think my post is out of line, and maybe it is, you can go fuck yourself.
