Miss Swiss 2016 finalist dates Arab Refugee for a while, Breaks up, Ends up with Acid Attacked Face

A migrant from Afghanistan has confessed to a brutal acid attack upon a young woman in a parking garage in Switzerland, according to reports.

The incident unfolded in mid-February at the victim’s residence in Neuchâtel, as we reported at the time.

The 24-year-old Swiss woman, a former model and Miss Suisse Francophone 2016 finalist named Laurie Malter Terrada was walking through the car park of her apartment building at around 8 a.m. when a hooded suspect knocked her unconscious and threw caustic chemicals on her face, causing severe burns.

Police quickly arrested a 19-year-old Afghan who had entered Switzerland as a ‘refugee.’

Reports indicate the suspect and victim had previously been in a relationship.

“I still don’t know why he attacked me with acid,” Laurie reportedly said in testimony.

The Afghan previously denied any role in the attack despite strong suspicions and evidence against him.

“He ended up confessing his guilt during the month of June,” 20 Minutes reports.

“The victim said she was relieved at what she considers an important step in moving the criminal case forward.”

She says she lives in fear that the Afghan “might ask someone to finish the job.”

“The day he comes out, I know I’ll be scared.”

Laurie has partially recovered from her injuries but still sports a large scar running down the side of her forehead and face.

“Although they are seen much less today and should fade even further after laser surgery, these marks will stay for life. But we all have our imperfections, they are part of our history,” she said.
