New Hampshire 2020 Election Audit Finds ‘Experimental Confirmation’ of Machine Irregularities

Auditors for a 2020 election investigation being carried out in Windham, New Hampshire, are saying that some of their latest findings are “large enough to account for discrepancies” found during their audit.

Windham auditors found “experimental confirmation that if the contest is undervoted, a fold through a vote target can create a vote.” Windham’s four state representative seats were all won by Republicans on Election Night. The presidential election was not an item for this audit.

Democrat candidate Kristi St. Laurent, who lost by a narrow margin of 24 votes, requested an audit (pdf) claiming that the machines were improperly programmed, and that double voting was involved.

As a result, New Hampshire’s Republican Gov. Chris Sununu, signed a bill last month that gave authorization for forensic analysis and a comprehensive recount of the 2020 election votes in Windham related to optical scanning AccuVote machines.

An automatic recount was enacted, resulting in St. Laurent losing 99 more votes after a hand recount. Meanwhile, four Republicans gained about 300 votes each.

The other three Democrats gained between 18 and 28 votes.

There was a lot of confusion about how there could be such a big vote difference after a recount.

AccuVote didn’t respond to a request for comment about the audit authorization by the Epoch Times. The AccuVote machines’ intellectual property are owned by Dominion Voting Systems.

Real America’s Voice reported on May 21 that the latest hand recount had been completed, and confirmed that the machine counting was unreliable.

Following the discrepancies, the Windham auditors tested machine counting ballots with different markings and folding. They also revealed the machine that was used to fold many of the absentee ballots during the 2020 contest.

“The fold effect is large enough to account for discrepancies, but might not be all that’s going on,” the auditors said on May 22. “75 folded ballots voted straight Republican. Only 48 votes recorded for them. Folds generated overvotes. This is machine used on Election Day 4 most absentee ballots.”

The audit began on May 11. On May 23, the auditors announced that out of 65 ballots, none of which were marked for St. Laurent, 25 were counted for her by the machines.

“We now have experimental confirmation that if the contest is undervoted, a fold through a vote target can create a vote. None of the 65 ballots was marked for St. Laurent, but the machines interpreted 25 of the folds as votes for her,” the auditors wrote.

Another machine was found to have “an even more dramatic problem” by the auditors, who said that only 28 percent of the votes for Republican candidates were counted.

During the second day’s live stream, the cameras filming the audit room went offline for around an hour and a half, raising concerns since it was designed to be a 24-hour operation.
