Oakland Officer Shoots Public Urination Suspect Who Resisted

OAKLAND (CBS SF) — A police officer shot a male suspect in Oakland Friday night after he allegedly attacked officers when they attempted to detain him for urinating in public, police said.

Officers attempted to detain the man, an Oakland resident, for public urination in the 2100 block of Fruitvale Avenue at around 7:40 p.m.

Police said the man became violent, assaulted an officer, and attacked the officers with a long, metal blunt object.

  3. Hey cops that was not a long metal object! Seriously though once again we have a case where the cop claim their victim was resisting or was violent. The same old tired excuses given by cops trained to lie!

    yelling “stop resisting” is always excuse to beat someone,
    or torture them to death with a tazer, “we dont know why he died”…

  5. The arrogant cops should have let go of their pride, and just let this guy go with a warning. The police once again turn a nonlethal confrontation into a life threatening situation. All these numbskulls know is violence.
