Barack Obama’s Department of Education for Civil Rights has threatened to cut funding to an Illinois school district if it doesn’t allow a male transgender student to use the girl’s locker room and showers, according to the Chicago Tribune.
The DOE charges that school officials did not comply with Title IX, the federal law from 1972 that prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex. The investigation took nearly 2 YEARS! You want to talk about a waste of money, there it is right there.
The school has already bent over backward to accommodate the student, by allowing him to play on the girl’s sports teams, use the women’s restrooms and provided a special private area in the girl’s locker room. They even changed his name, gender and pronouns on school records. But of course, that wasn’t good enough.
He is demanding UNRESTRICTED access to the girl’s locker room. He filed a formal complaint with Obama’s Office for Civil Rights back in 2013.
Requiring the student to use the private area the school provided for him constitutes “blatant discrimination,” said John Knight, director of the LGBT and AIDS Project at ACLU of Illinois, which is representing the student.
“It’s not voluntary, it’s mandatory for her,” Knight said. “It’s one thing to say to all the girls, ‘You can choose if you want some extra privacy,’ but it’s another thing to say, ‘You, and you alone, must use them.’ That sends a pretty strong signal to her that she’s not accepted and the district does not see her as girl.”
Of course, Obama’s DOE agreed saying, “Student A has not only received an unequal opportunity to benefit from the District’s educational program, but has also experienced an ongoing sense of isolation and ostracism throughout her high school enrollment at the school.”
This is insane.
“All students deserve the opportunity to participate equally in school programs and activities — this is a basic civil right,” Assistant U.S. Secretary for Civil Rights Catherine Lhamon said in a statement on Monday.
A BASIC CIVIL RIGHT? A man pretending to be a girl and demanding to shower with ACTUAL girls has NEVER been considered a ‘basic civil right’ until that fruitloop Obama mysteriously entered the picture. Back in my day, if I went into the girls locker room ( I did but I snuck in lol) I would have been suspended. And I would have been ‘swatted’ by my coach.
The Weekly Standard says, “The case out of Illinois is the latest controversy since the Obama administration’s Department of Justice and Department of Education have ruled that anatomically male teenagers who think they’re girls have the right to shower and change clothes in girls’ locker rooms.
In September, 150 students in Missouri walked out of their high school to protest the school’s policy on transgender rights. As David French of National Review wrote at the time: “The controversy exploded after a girl at the school reported encountering an ‘intact male’ in the locker room. Exposing a penis to girls in a public high school is generally considered an act of sexual harassment, not part of the sexual revolution.”
Michele Hickford at Allen B. West says this:
Yes, I’d think most parents would have some concern about a penis being exposed to their daughters in a public high school and being told that’s a “basic civil right,” don’t you?

According to CNN, the student (who has not been identified) — although her gender identity seems to be public property — said “This decision makes me extremely happy — because of what it means for me, personally, and for countless others. The district’s policy stigmatized me, often making me feel like I was not a ‘normal person.’”
Um… can I just interject here? According to a study by the leading LGBT demographer at the University of California Los Angeles School of Law’s Williams Institute, transgender people represent only about 0.3 percent of the U.S. population. Three-tenths of a percent. You cannot tell me that’s normal.
I believe the vast gender-binary majority of Americans really doesn’t give a rat’s behind if someone wants to change their God-given plumbing. But what we DO resent is being told in effect the needs of this tiny minority are greater than our own. And we sure as hell don’t want this forced upon our children.
The district has 30 days to reach an agreement with authorities or risk having their federal educational funding suspended or even terminated. The case also could be referred to Obama’s Department of Justice.
Good lord, this is just WAY out of control. I seriously never thought I’d see the day that our country would go to hell but I admit, when Obama was ‘elected’ I did have a bad feeling that we were in for big problems… I was right. We ALL were right.
