Orumiyeh University inks MoUs with American Utah and German Philipps Marburg Universities

Orumiyeh, April 15, IRNA – Orumiyeh University has signed memorandums of understanding on scientific and research cooperation with the American University of Utah and the German University of Philipps Marburg.

Chancellor of the Orumyieh University, Rahim Hobbe-Naghi told IRNA here Thursday that the goal of the five-year MoUs that would be renewable is to have joint cooperation on education, research and technology and also to provide facilities for active collaboration among the three university professors and researchers in fields of science and research.

The MoUs will also accommodate conditions for their professors and researchers to take part in international meetings and seminars, to exchange professors and students and grant fellowships, interchange books, information, and scientific magazines and establish research and scientific cooperation in various fields of study, including studying Orumiyeh Lake in cooperation with the Center for Studying Lake Orumiyeh.

Orumiyeh University was founded in 1965 and is one of the nation’s top universities. It has 10 faculties with more than 17,000 students at BA, MA and PhD levels. It has also more than 500 faculty members.
