Our Interesting Times: Casey Gane-McCallac – the CIA’s Secret War in Jamaica

Renegade Editor’s Note: This show goes well beyond the scope of just investigating Jamaica. It’s one of the more interesting podcasts I have heard in some time.

Casey Gane-McCalla joins Our Interesting Times to discuss his book Inside the CIA’s Secret War in Jamaica. They talk about the efforts of the United States government to destabilize the Michael Manley government in 1976 and how the CIA’s covert operations on the island nation led to an explosion of cocaine trafficking, arms smuggling, and terrorism. They also discuss how the events in Jamaica are linked to the Kennedy assassinations, Watergate and Iran-Contra.
