Palestinian activists kick out US envoy in Bethlehem

A group of Palestinian activists kicked out on Tuesday American envoy, who visited Bethlehem Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The activists entered the hall, where a meeting was held with Palestinian businessmen as part of the cooperation between the Chamber of Commerce and the US consulate in Jerusalem.

Local sources said that the activists carried out pictures and banners denouncing US position announced by US President Donald Trump to recognise Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.

In addition, the also raised placards calling to seriously cut the Palestinian Authority relations with the US due to freezing funds designated for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA).

The activists then entered the hall and pushed the American envoy to leave it immediately.
