Palestinian killed, 3 Israelis troops wounded

Days of Palestine, Jerusalem –Israeli occupation forces shot dead Palestinian youth on Saturday afternoon as they claimed he stabbed three troops in Jerusalem.

Witnesses said that the Israeli occupation forces opened fire heavily at a Palestinian youth at Damascus Gate of Al-Aqsa Mosque after allegedly stabbing attempt.

An Israeli police spokesperson confirmed the incident and said the area had been closed off. He said that three Israeli officers were treated of stabbing at the scene.

Identity of the Palestinian has not been identified yet. Palestinian witnesses said that he was shot in different parts of his boy to the degree that it was difficult to be identified.

In the morning, 16-year-old Palestinian Ishaq Badran was shot dead by Israeli occupation forces after carrying out an alleged stabbing attack in the same area, lightly injuring two Israelis.

The attacks were the latest in a series of attacks carried out by both Palestinians and Israelis that have rocked ‘Israel’ and the occupied Palestinian territory.

The death of this Palestinian brings the total number of Palestinians killed since October 1 to 18. Four Israelis, including two settlers, have been killed in the same time period.

The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs reported on Thursday that the first week of October has “witnessed the most significant escalation in violent attacks and clashes across the West Bank, particularly in East Jerusalem, since June 2014.”
