Police arrest man over Moorooka murder

A Milton man has been charged over the murder of a Brisbane father last week.

Paul Sullivan was found bludgeoned to death in his Hansen Street housing commission unit in Moorooka by his teenage son in the early hours of Monday, September 10.

A 46-year-old man was arrested at a house in Milton last night and has been charged with murder, enter dwelling with intent whilst armed, and robbery with personal violence.

He is due to face Brisbane Magistrates Court today.

Mr Sullivan was due to celebrate his 47th birthday the day after he was found dead, lying face down in a pool of blood.

The front door of his unit was locked when his 17-year-old son Nathan spotted blood through a window and raised the alarm.

After police kicked in the door, Mr Sullivan was found lying face down in a pool of blood.

Police investigations are continuing.
