A 29-year-old man has died after he was allegedly attacked with a spear at Mornington Island in the Queensland Gulf.
The man was taken to the Mount Isa Hospital on Saturday but later died.
Police have charged a 15-year-old boy with unlawful wounding and going armed to cause fear.
He will be dealt with under the Youth Justice Act.
