Police have released a photo of suspect Joshua Naggs, 18.

Joshua Naggs, 18, is wanted by police for allegedly driving at a police officer who fired a shot into his car.

Police are appealing for a man to turn himself in, after a car was driven at two undercover police officers at Roxburgh Park, in Melbourne’s northern suburbs yesterday.

An officer fired one round at the car but after a short pursuit the man got away.

Police recovered the stolen vehicle the man was driving at Craigieburn. It has been taken away for forensic examination.

Police have identified the suspect as 18-year-old Joshua Naggs and have appealed to family and friends to get him to turn himself in.

Acting Superintendent Steve Mutton says they believe Naggs is staying with friends in the Craigieburn and Roxburgh Park areas.

“To drive a car at two police members, that’s of great concern to us,” he said.

He says they want to question Naggs about four pursuits in the past week.

Police have interviewed a number of witnesses who are helping them with their inquiries.
