Seven in ten US women have a strongly negative view of Republican presidential hopeful Donald Trump, according to a new poll released on Friday.

Despite the fact that Trump’s overall image is the most negative among all US presidential candidates, according to Gallup, the real estate mogul continues to be the Republican party elections front-runner.

​”Donald Trump’s image among US women tilts strongly negative, with 70% of women holding an unfavorable opinion and 23% a favorable opinion of the Republican front-runner in March,” a Gallup poll stated.

​Additionally, Trump’s image is mostly negative among American men, according to the poll.

​”The gap between his favorable and unfavorable rating among men averaged 22 percentage points in March 1-28 interviewing, compared with a 47-point gap among women,” the poll said.

The latest nationwide polls, with nearly half the primaries and caucuses behind, indicate that Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton and Trump are likely to head into the general elections on November 8.
