Pressures on Iran’s missile power aimed at weakening Islamic Republic

IRNA – Pressures and sanctions against Iran’s missile power is aimed at weakening the Islamic establishment, Commander of Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Aerospace Force Brigadier General Amir Ali Hajizadeh said.

Hajizadeh made the remarks during the visit of the members of Majlis (parliament) National Security and Foreign Policy Commission to the IRGC Aerospace Force Headquarters.

The achievement made by the IRGC aerospace forces in various fields proves that people can overcome problems by relying on domestic capabilities, Hajizadeh added.

Elaborating on the details of IRGC missile attack on terrorists’ headquarters in Syria, he said that after receiving permission of the Supreme Leader of Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, 60 goals were recognized to be targeted.

The Leader had underlined preventing damage to civilian people during the attacks and in order to follow the Leader’s command, three of the 60 targets were hit by missiles, he noted.

The commander said pictures of the targets were made available by unmanned aerial vehicles before, during and after the operation.

Daesh headquarters and the groups’ underground tunnels were damaged in the missile attack, he said.

Hajizadeh referred to the US hostility towards Iranian nation and cautioned officials against underestimating the enemy threats.

The US plans to weaken the Islamic establishment by the use of sanctions and pressures, he added.
