Awake Goy Madrid, Feb 19, IRNA – Deputy Foreign Minister for European and American Affairs Majid Takht-e Ravanchi said on Thursday that the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) should be regarded as victory of multilateralism over unilateralism.
Ravanchi made the remarks in the international gathering on’ Return of Diplomacy’ which was held at the United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) headquarters in Paris on Thursday.
The triumph of the JCPOA should be assessed as a win-win approach at international relations, he said.
Imposing sanctions and bullying are failed policies and never help resolve international issues, he said, adding that the UNESCO can promote culture of dialogue and multilateralism through education which is prequisite to resolving international issues and regional crises mainly terrorism and extremism.
Before and during nuclear talks between Iran and G5+1, some countries tried to promote Iranophobia through spending huge sums of money but to no avail, he said.
A number of prominent figures delivered keynote speeches at the international seminar.
