Syrian Army Moves Closer to Splitting the East Ghouta Terrorist Pocket

A potentially positive development has been reported in the Battle for East Ghouta.

Earlier this week, 21WIRE associate editor Vanessa Beeley reported on the stark similarities between the current battle in East Ghouta and East Aleppo in 2016, and how the same mainstream media program of hysterical propaganda is being used to protect the US Coalition and Gulf-backed terrorist groups that are occupying the eastern suburbs of Damascus.

Despite efforts by the US, UK, Israeli and Gulf states to prop-up the legitimacy of these terrorist groups, last night the Syrian Arab Army made a crucial advance towards ending the terrorist occupation of the area.

Almasdar News reports…

BEIRUT, LEBANON (3:00 A.M.) – The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) had another successful day in the East Ghouta region, capturing several localities from the Islamist rebels.

Led by their elite Tiger Forces division, the Syrian Arab Army scored a major advance on Wednesday, when their soldiers managed to capture the imperative town of Beit Sawa.

Once Beit Sawa was captured, the Syrian Army unleashed a powerful assault on the Islamist rebel defenses located between the aforementioned town and the vehicle management base.

According to a military source in Damascus, the Syrian Army is only one kilometer away from splitting the Islamist-held East Ghouta pocket in two.

If the Syrian Army is successful in splitting the East Ghouta, they will have ultimately secured the vehicle management base and met up with their forces in the area.
