UN Human Rights Council adopts 4 pro-Palestinian resolutions

United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) adopted four resolutions for Palestine during 37th session concluded in Geneva on Friday.

The majority of the UNHRC member states voted that the Israeli settlements in the occupied Palestinian territories, including East Jerusalem are illegal supported the right of the Palestinian people to self-determination.

In addition, the member stated adopted a resolution about the situation of human rights in the occupied Palestinian territories, including East Jerusalem.

The fourth resolution, the UNHRC adopted, was about ensuring accountability and justice for all violations of international law in the oPt, including East Jerusalem.

PA Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Riyad al-Malki praised the resolutions and thanked the countries that voted in favour of them.

He called on the countries of the world to take not only statements but tangible steps, in order to protect the people of Palestine and achieve the two-state solution.
