Murder accused Donato Corbo pleaded not guilty

A man accused of shooting dead his neighbours has pleaded not guilty to murder in an Adelaide court.

Luc Mombers, 41, was shot dead at his home at Montacute Road at Hectorville in April, allegedly by his neighbour, Donato Corbo.

Mr Mombers’ father and mother-in-law who were visiting from South Africa also were killed.

Mr Mombers’ wife Rika survived as did her teenage son Marcel, who was injured.

A police officer at the scene also was injured.

Corbo has faced Adelaide Magistrates Court via a video link and entered a not guilty plea.

His lawyer indicated reports were being compiled about his client, meaning a mental incompetence defence may be explored.

Corbo has been ordered to face the Supreme Court next month.
