Trump to reaffirm sanctions suspension: Iran deputy oil minister

IRNA – It is predicted that the US President Donald Trump will confirm the suspension of sanctions on Iran in May 2018, then the nuclear deal will have a better condition, said the Iranian deputy minister of petroleum on Saturday.

‘The US president is like school bullies, and even the EU is not happy with his behavior,’ said Amir-Hossein Zamaninia in the Second Iran International Exploration and Production Congress and Exhibition (Iran E&P 2018).

He said that after the 1979 Islamic Revolution, Iran could become self-sufficient in oil industry, but didn’t increase production with the increase in reserves.

He also said that after the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) was implemented, Iran has received the oil money and the needed equipment, but the banking problems are still standing; and of course it is not due to the JCPOA, but due to some other issues.

The Iran E&P 2018 official website wrote, ‘If there is just one event that all the relative state officials, public and private decision-makers and dependent industry managers of Iran gather together, it is Iran E&P 2018, along with the specialist event, Iran Drilling 2018’.

‘We proved that out of all the events held in Iran in petroleum, this is the perfect one in content and organizing. Thus, every stakeholder of the country is eager to participate. Tight connections with the industry have made us come up with the exact titles for sessions. With diversified subjects and types, 50 panels of Iran E&P 2018 will get the delegates in the picture of what is really going on and what is going to be needed in the industry,’ it said.
