Peter Nolan The Air Force has continually struggled with allegations of sexual assault in its ranks. Dozens of female trainees at a Texas airbase claimed to have been assaulted by male instructors since 2009, leading to more than 30 being removed from their posts.
Earlier this year a female Air Force general overturned a male subordinate’s conviction for sexual assault, leading to criticism from some in Congress over the way the issue is handled in the military.
