Awake Goy Some people dislike Hillary Clinton so much they’ll contribute to her campaign just so they can confront her.
Such was the case at a fundraising event in Park Ridge, Illinois on Thursday.
Cell phone video has emerged from the event that was closed to the media showing at least one heckler starting in on Clinton almost immediately after she began speaking.
The largely inaudible chants continued as Clinton tried to speak over them.
“There’s a lot of energy and a lot of anxiety and frustration right now in our country that spills over into our political system,” Clinton said.
“So I’ll just keep talking,” she said.
“It kind of comes with the territory these days and what I have found is people who like to yell rarely like to listen.”
Ironically, Clinton go louder to talk over the protesters, in essence refusing to listen to them.
Hillary spoke for a few moments about small businesses and wage disparities before more people started heckling her.
Patrons paid anywhere from $45 to $2,700 to attend the event, according to the listing on her website.
