November 8, 2014, on the eve of the anniversary of Kristallnacht and the International Day against Fascism and Anti-Semitism, on the streets of Warsaw passed the demonstration under the slogan “Together against nationalism”. From the main gate of the University of Warsaw marched approx. 1500 people or more.

As the organizers wrote:

“09.11.1938 r. Was called. Kristallnacht, or the pogrom of Jews in Nazi Germany. The streets of German cities were buried that night shattered glass and crystal of the destroyed Jewish homes and shops, hence the name of this pogrom. This event was the announcement of the Holocaust in Europe.

Extermination camps, racist violence, to the base of the ideology of national chauvinism, led to the tragic events in the past. Unfortunately, proponents of this ideology still exist and strive to embody it in life. Among other things, these people call themselves nationalists and now every year march through the streets of Warsaw on November 11. Also in celebration of the national holiday incite hatred on racial, ethnic, cultural or religious, they dream about “Poland for the Poles”.

We do not agree with the vision of our country! We want to live in an atmosphere of mutual respect and tolerance, without a sick hatred of another person because of race, color, religion or sexual orientation. Let us show that it does not suit us, the activities of the far right in Poland. Together let’s say NO to nationalism and fascism. ”

The event was the Warsaw coalition “Together against nationalism,” which consists of 161 Crew, anti-fascist Warsaw, Infirmary squat, Collective mermaid, Workers’ Democracy, Warsaw Anarchist Federation.   Translated from krytykapolityczna.pl
