Emergency services have confirmed that 27 pupils and one teacher have collapsed at a North Yorkshire school.
The Outwood Academy School in Ripon has been evacuated and pupils sent to nearby Ripon Community College while emergency services investigate the cause of the incident.
According to media reports, emergency services are now investigating a suspected gas leak at the school, which could have caused the students to collapse.
Emergency services were called to Outwood Academy School on Clotherholme Road at around 12:30pm GMT on Wednesday after staff members witnessed a group of children lose consciousness.
A number of students collapsed at the school and others were taken ill. It is reported 27 students have been affected, all displaying signs of sickness and feeling faint. Some have been attended to by paramedics at the scene while others have been taken to hospital.

The school is working with fire and ambulance services to establish what happened.

North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue service have said that Hazardous Materials Specialist Officers, a specialist detection, identification and monitoring (DIM) team from West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service, are also investigating the incident
