1 of 3 siblings accused in multi-state crime spree sentenced to 32 years for Colo. shootout

WALSENBURG, Colo. – One of three Florida siblings wanted in a multi-state crime spree has been sentenced to 32 years in Colorado.

Dylan Stanley-Dougherty (DAHK’-ur-tee) received the maximum prison sentence Monday for his guilty plea to one charge of first-degree assault.

His brother and sister also are set to be sentenced later Monday.

All three are accused of shooting at a police officer and staging a daring bank robbery before being captured in Colorado after a shootout.

After sentencing, they’re expected to be transferred from state to federal custody within days, if not hours.

The U.S. Marshals Service will transport them to Albany, Ga., for a court hearing on May 15.
