A Jewish professor was killed while at Ukraine University, according to reports.

A Jewish professor at the University of Lviv, Ukraine, was killed by his three Muslim students, according to reports.

According to initial details, the three students had failed in their studies and were seeking revenge for their expulsion from the university.

They decided to kill their Jewish professor.

These allegations have not yet been confirmed by police.

The victim’s brother, who teaches at Ben Gurion University, received the news on Friday and boarded a plane to Ukraine. He informed his colleagues of the death before boarding the flight.

The number of Jews in Lviv, Ukraine is estimated at 2,000, of a total population of around 850,000.

A Jewish community leader in Ukraine told the news media: “We’re all in shock and are grief-stricken over the loss of this generous man and the best doctor in Lviv.”

The professor was reportedly also one of the top surgeons in Lviv.
