More anti-Jewish tweets have popped up on twitter, according to reports.

The Union of Jewish Students or UEJF, in France, is again demanding the social networking site Twitter, to delete a new wave of anti-Jewish hate speech but the site refuses. Last week, Twitter was forced to remove the anti-Jewish messages under the threat of legal action.

Stephane Lilti, a UEJF lawyer, told the news media on Monday that 50 new anti-Jewish messages were seen on Twitter over the weekend under a new hash tag, # unjuifmort or # adeadjew.

However, a Twitter spokesperson declined to answer the complaint directly, instead reiterating that the company “does not mediate content.” The social networking site has reiterated its usual policy in

response to calls to remove dozens of dead Jew tweets and keyword.

However, the spokesperson added: “If we are alerted to content which may be in violation of our terms of service, we will investigate each report and respond according to the policies and procedures described in the pages of our support.” French Justice Minister Christiane Taubira has warned Twitter that it has the duty to respect the country’s laws on racism and anti-Semitism. The warning came in a context of increasing attacks on Jews and Jewish institutions in France.
