A sexual predator is behind bars thanks to his mother, according to court proceedings.
A Longview, Washington man, 26-years-old, admitted to downloading child pornography from the Internet after his mother gave a CD full of child porn images to the police, according to a report presented Tuesday in Cowlitz County Superior Court.
Longview Police said the suspect, Kyle Thomas Perrine, also used his computer and the Xbox video game system to store images of girls, some of them toddlers, engaged in sexual acts.
A Superior Court judge found probable cause Monday to charge Perrine with possession of minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct and with displaying representations of minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct.
Perrine’s mother called police, saying she had found the CD at home, but did not know where it came from, according to the report. Investigators said they found child pornography and a photo of
Perrine and two other men.
The photo, which was not sexual in nature, led detectives to Perrine, who admitted downloading pornographic images from the Internet and save them on CDs, police said.
Authorities said Perrine gave his computer and Xbox to the police, who obtained a search warrant and sent the two to Vancouver Police Digital Evidence Cybercrime Unit. That agency has reported that technicians discovered on Perrine’s computer images and videos of underage girls having sex, according to the police report.
