Kim Kardashian is under fire for comments she made about the Israel Gaza war, according to news media reports.

Kim Kardashian is learning a lesson from Twitter for celebrities: Do not try to take sides in the conflict in the Middle East.

First she tweeted on Friday to her 16.6 million followers that she was “praying for everyone in Israel”, now that the Israelis and the Palestinians are firing at each other again with missiles on Tel Aviv and Jerusalem, air strikes on Gaza and a possible new ground war in sight.

When her first tweet went out there was a backlash of angry and cruel tweets, including death threats, prompting her to tweet that she was “praying for all in Palestine and around the world!” More angry tweets and death threats followed.

So she deleted both tweets, according to Twitchy.com, that stores deletes tweets, and directed a message to her followers to “a message for you” in her blog that “confessed” and apologized in a t

houghtful, even humorous statement.

“I have decided to end the tweets because I realized that some people were offended and hurt by what I said, and for that I apologize,” she wrote. “I should have stated my intentions behind these messages on twitter when I did sent them.

The fact is that, regardless of religion and political beliefs, there are countless innocent people involved who did not choose this, and I pray for all of them and also for a resolution. I also pray for all the people around the world who are caught in such crossfire.”
